About Brandi

Brandi Calhoun Diamond, M. Div., was an inaugural graduate from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University in 1999. In her final year, Brandi served as the first president of the Student Advisory Committee, and in 1998, she was awarded the Emily L. Weatherspoon Preaching Award. She has served on the National Baptist Women in Ministry Board and the Baptist Women in Ministry of Georgia Board & Steering Committee.

Brandi also holds a B.A. in Communication and Religion from Berry College. As a college senior, Brandi was elected by her peers to serve as the first female President of Baptist Student Union of Georgia in over 21 years. She served as summer missionary to Tennessee, and later to Russia.

Brandi has developed and taught religious curriculum on a variety of subjects for over fourteen years. She has also written two devotional guides for the season of Advent, Waiting for Wonder and From Chaos to Compassion. From 1994-1998, Brandi organized and led retreats for Christian groups through her business Blueprints Team Building and Event Planning. Brandi has previously served as a Minister to Youth, as well as Contract Training Coordinator with the Continuing Education Department of Kennesaw State University.

Currently, Brandi is certified in the ordination process under the care of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. At her home church, Trinity Presbyterian of Atlanta, Brandi has taught adult education courses for the past seven years.

Her unique and open teaching style, as well as her commitment to life long learning, has made her a popular speaker, teacher, and preacher among many groups. She lives in Atlanta with her husband John, her son Taylor, and her daughter Bailey.
