Hope

What I realize is that what we cannot live without is Hope.
The whole world can be thrown at us and we can withstand its weight, if only Hope lives within us.
Without it, we are no more than hollow shells, easily crumbling into ourselves, like a cheap bunny on Easter Sunday.
God desires us to be solid, filled with Hope.

Everywhere we turn there is negative news, there are spin doctors, there is doom and gloom.
And yet a shard of hope will bolster us.
Winds come what may.
We may just make it.

That little flame, no matter how tiny, will spark open a wildfire if only it has a bit of air to breathe.

When Hope is lost, all things seem to shatter.
Where do we need it?
Where might we offer it?

There is some great Task that only you can do, that God is calling you toward -
there is some great Hope that only you can share, that God is calling you toward -
there is some great Love that is just waiting on you to arrive and hold it.
God is calling you toward it.

If you are hearing a buzzing within your soul, listen.
Hope will ring in a pitch that sizzles your eardrums with delight -
because you are needed.

Needed, loved, cherished, hoped for - in ways you never dreamed.

So, in this moment, be good to yourself and listen.
Tune in to that flame, that vibration -
that Giant Calling that longs for you.

Hope is what we must have to live, to carry on.
Let it move within you so that you might move without you.
Amen and amen.
